Salt Lake City at an Arts school. We had a great time writing and when it came time to record the songs the students surprised me when they brought out everything from flutes to cellos to accompany me on the song. Awesome!
A great group of student writers at Fruit Valley Elementary School in Vancouver, WA. We wrote a song called It's Your Choice.
This was taken at a high school in Fremont, CA where the students decided to honor all their great teachers by writing them a song called If Not For You.
On August 1, 2014, I got to perform for a groups of kids at a week long day camp called, "Sees the Day." Kirk Cooper runs it, and our messages are very aligned with each other. Great day at a super camp.
In late July I spent a week at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Here's a shot of me working with kids on a song called, "Born to Win." Check the songs page to hear it.

Kids Write Songs is a project of Operation Respect. The mission of Operation Respect is to assure every child a respectful, safe and compassionate climate of learning where their academic, social and emotional development can take place free of bullying, ridicule and violence.
Steve Seskin is a Grammy-nominated songwriter who has written seven number one songs, including "Don’t Laugh at Me," the song that inspired the creation of Operation Respect. Steve is a passionate advocate for children, and works with them in schools across the country, writing songs with them and helping them learn the creative process while working through the real issues they're faced with in schools today.
